GHARGHUR – Upon entrance is a large greeting room with a wall to wall Victorian library and a cosy armchair set besides the large internal yard windows. Further down the hallway is a desk area flooded by natural light seeping through from the internal courtyard. The large kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking utensils needed including a large 6 burner stove & oven, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster & dishwasher.
The kitchen opens up to a lovely dining room area with turfed floor, wood cladded, double volume walls and feature lighting, however the best part about this room is the ceiling is remotely retraceable, on a beautiful summer one may dine “al feresco!” one can also find the guest bathroom set on the ground floor level. The Maltese house features many typical architectural characteristics one of which being a well which is still visible through a viewing glass panel.
Halfway up the staircase is the wash room area fully equipped with washing machine, drier, vacuum cleaner, other cleaning utilities and plenty of storage.
At the top of the stairs is the main bedroom finished to the highest of standards; a full wall to wall wardrobe and best of all, flooded with natural light, as the room features it’s very own Maltese balcony overlooking the traditional Maltese alley lined with beautiful traditional houses. The bedroom has a newly installed bathroom.
The third level of the house is a cosy living room area with access to a large decked outdoor space. This area is perfect for someone social activity; the living room area has a comfy sofa (which may be used as another sleeping space), a widescreen smart tv. This area also has its own bathroom with a shower. This room may also be used as a second bedroom.
Through this room one has access to a large outdoor terrace once again overlooking the beautiful Gharghur alley and also glimpsing the back of the famous Gharghur church. This area if fully equipped with a table and chairs to comfortably seat 6, a new gas BBQ with utensils, privacy from neighbours with wooden trellising on either side and a fixed canopy providing shade and festoon lighting.
All rooms are equipped with ac units and a new wood burning pellet stove has been installed emitting heat through every level of the house.
